The life and times of Janeen Leanna Goering
Janeen grew up in South Phoenix, attended school at Sierra Vista grade school, attended church at South Mountain View Baptist Church.
The family moved to Maryvale in 1962, where she attended Maryvale High School her freshman year. In 1964 the family moved to Scottsdale, AZ where she attended, and graduated, from Saguaro High School.
After graduating high school Janeen became a waitress at numerous restaurants. She then became a well-liked bar tender with a following of loyal customers where ever she chose to work.
Janeen met and married the love of her life, Mike Goering. They built a house in Scottsdale where she lived for the remainder of her life. Mike and Janeen owned a plane and flew a lot. Their favorite destinations were in Mexico, particularly Cabo San Lucas where they had a vacation home.
As an adult Janeen had many health issues. Among them arthritis, gout and weak bones. She had a shoulder replaced, then a knee. Following these surgeries her health failed drastically. In 2017 she was confined to a nursing home where she was so unhappy that she just wanted to go home to be with the Lord. She passed away July 8, 2018.
